If I am in windowed to begin with, it gives me limited scale down resolutions, but I go Full Screen, then drop (in fullscreen) down to 1024x768, then apply. The way I get around resizing the windowed screen the res I want is I go to full screen first, select windowed, scale the resolution down to what I want, hit apply. I have an ATI 4870 or some such (I know not an nVidia), but I run into limited resolutions, and am wary of using outside software. ini file, but as EVE still is in beta I guess we'll have to wait a bit for that. We have been asking for YEARS to have EVE select it's own resolutions or at least be able to edit some. There are some non-ati programs that might allow you to do that but they don't work with all cards and/or OS. If you have an ATI card you can't, the driver doesn't give you that option. If you have an nvidia card you can easily make those in the driver itself. The only way to add possible resolutions (I for instance use 1600x900 windowed while my screen is 1680x1050) is to add them as custom resolutions in windows. We're currently investigating why this is the case on the newer drivers.ĮVE makes use of the known (and valid) resolutions windows offers, the result (which differences per card and OS) is that you just have a limited few options to change the resolution to, so if you're unlucky you'll have full screen OR 1280x1024/1024x768 (or something similarly stupid) and that's about it. Try going back to the 191.07 drivers and the lower resolutions should be available again. Is this with an nVidia card? This seems to occur with 195.62 drivers and higher. I get this to kind of work, i change to some thing higher than i want and then flip back to lower and it stays until i get the escape button then the it goes right back to the 1680 x 1050, thanks for the work around for the time being. After I switched back to windowed mode, all of the resolutions were available again.ĮDIT: 1680x1200 isn't a wide screen resolution The workaround that I found was to switch to my desired resolution in full screen mode, then switch back to windowed mode. However, full screen resolutions were all normal. After reinstalling Winodows 7 and installing latest nvidia drivers, EVE wouldn't let me have a window smaller than 1680x1050 resolution. I would like to be able to use/see more than one client at a time.Īre the resolutions that you want available under full screen? I used to have this same exact problem. Should be something similar for ATI, but I don't know specifically. Had to move my boxes around a bit after the resize, but now I have a 50 pixel margin all around the Eve client. (You only have to test it to make sure it works, then go back to your preferred desktop resolution.) Then, after pulling up Eve, I went to graphics, and in the display size choices, there was now my 1580x950 choice at the bottom. I run a 1680x1050 desktop, and I created a 1580x950 custom video display size in the nvidia settings. These show up in the window size choices in the Eve graphics settings. Well, one thing I did, with nvidia drives/card mind you, is to go into the nvidia control panel and create custom resolutions. Is there a way i can get the rest of the choices back with out having to change to full screen and put the one i want and then change back to window mode? I use to be able to play at 1440 x 900 but now the smallest i get is the 1680 x 1050, and that is the smallest it will go down to. How do i resize the client window in "window" mode.
